He leans forward, hand behind his back and she slugs him in the face, he staggers. A guest says: "Give him $5." He recovers, she smiles. Then Powell collapsed to the ground and died and Startz, 22, is on trial in Chicago for reckless conduct and battery. The owner of the house had offered $5 for anyone who would take a swat from Startz at a memorial party last September. Powell, 24, took the offer and the poor luck to die. Startz later told cops: "I punched him and he just kind of stepped back and said, ‘Wow, nice job.’"
